Texas Hay Nets Make Healthy Horses and Healthy Wallets!

Texas Hay Net

Slow feeding of grass hay is important for the health of horses.  It gives the digestive system time to extract all the nutrients, impaction colic is almost non-existent, the “hot” horse is now calm, the “aggressive” horse is more mellow and the herd is happier!  The best news…your hay will last many, many more days than it did before!

The Texas Hay Net was developed by Leslie Davis looking for an economical way to feed cut grass hay with non abrasive material on sensitive muzzles, and strong enough to last a year.  Leslie tells us “I had to find a way to reduce the sugar/starch intake.  When you slow the feeding speed of cut grass hay, it makes the sugar/starch extraction from the hay slow enough for the liver to have time to filter the excess sugar out of the system. Our hay nets are especially helpful for  insulin resistant horses.” This product is a WIN – WIN for horses and owners.
